Based in Randfontein, South Africa, and employed by JCI Limited, I conducted investigations into mineral investment opportunities in African and other countries. JCI then established exploration offices in Ghana and Zambia. During this time, I liaised and negotiated extensively with various African government departments, developing and funding agencies, as well as other mining and exploration companies.
Earlier, I had carried out technical and financial evaluations of new projects in various countries, as well as ongoing mining operations in South Africa. I conducted evaluation-related R&D for the Group’s gold mines, and implemented a number of software packages there, including the training of staff.
